Natural, or holistic, health care aims to treat the cause of your symptoms as well as the symptoms themselves; it is holistic in it's nature. This means that we treat the individual as a whole. We do not just look at the symptoms in isolation of the rest of your body and mind. Our practitioners are not here to 'heal' or 'fix' you - but to facilitate the natural healing capabilities of your own body and mind, as well as providing lifestyle recommendations - leaving you empowered, healthy and happy.
All our therapies involve 4 main parts, which can take the form of one or multiple sessions based on your individual needs:
- Initial Consultation; This is often the first time you will meet your practitioner and they will spend it getting to know you and your individual needs and creating a personal care plan for you.
- Treatment; Depending on your symptoms, overall health and lifestyle, treatment can take many different forms.
- Education; Throughout your care, your practitioner will advise you of any actions you can be taking outside of your sessions to help yourself further. This can take many forms but it can be as simple as a stretching exercise or recommending you see another practitioner.
- Follow Up / Maintenance; Often there are factors which have an impact on our health that we can just not avoid, such as heavy lifting at our job or stress at home. Because of this, practitioners will often recommend you come back after a course of treatments for maintenance sessions, from once a month to once every six months.
To get the most from any treatment we encourage all patients to take responsibility for their own healthcare needs as much as is possible. Even the best treatments available will only have a limited impact if you are not taking care of yourself and so we place a very high importance on our patients being open to making lifestyle changes (as is practical) to support the treatments they are receiving. Please be assured that we are here to support you, whatever your journey to improved health looks like, and that every step taken towards a healther lifestyle is an investment with the greatest return - an improved quality of life.
