Comprehensive Hearing Assessments

After examining the ears, Tim chooses the safest method for that patient: microsuction, irrigation or manual removal. The aim is a clear view of the ear canal and eardrum, and relief from blockage, without using a one-size-fits-all technique.

N.B. Full appointments (30 minutes) are suitable for New Patients, or those who have not had a routine clean for some time, or those with new or different presentations. Short appointments (20 minutes) are suitable for existing patients attending routine cleans. If no ear wax is found on examination, you will only be charged half of the appointment fee.

If hearing technology is appropriate, recommendations are based on your audiogram, lifestyle, and preferences — including custom devices where they are the better option. Hearing aid aftercare and support
Ongoing care covers servicing, repairs, fine-tuning, and routine maintenance. Hearing and listening needs change; aftercare is there so devices stay comfortable and useful rather than being fitted once and left. You don't have to have purchased your hearing aids from Tim for him to be able to offer maintenance, repairs, servicing, or help with fitment or tuning; Tim is happy to look at all makes and models. He will tell you if he is unable to help, but will be able to make recommendations for your situation.

Medical referral
If examination or audiometry meets BSA referral criteria, Tim will arrange the appropriate referral rather than continuing with hearing aids or wax removal alone. Hearing care here includes knowing when something needs a GP or ENT opinion.
