If you have not had a recent hearing test, it may be necessary to start by arranging a hearing test with Tim to determine the quality of your hearing and which device may be best suited to your needs. Hearing tests start with a proper conversation about your hearing history, how listening feels day-to-day, and what you want to improve. Tim then examines the ears with otoscopy and video otoscopy so you can see what he sees. Hearing is measured with pure tone audiometry, plus speech testing that includes QuickSIN (speech in noise) and AB word lists. Results are explained in plain language, with realistic next steps rather than a rushed recommendation.

Ongoing care covers servicing, repairs, fine-tuning, and routine maintenance. Hearing and listening needs change; aftercare is there so devices stay comfortable and useful rather than being fitted once and left. You don't have to have purchased your hearing aids from Tim for him to be able to offer maintenance, repairs, servicing, or help with fitment or tuning; Tim is happy to look at all makes and models. He will tell you if he is unable to help, but will be able to make recommendations for your situation.
